The 712 yellow tag steering rack is a popular upgrade for many E30, E36 and E46 M3 enthusiasts. The rack boasts a 3.0 lock-to-lock turning radius (while the standard E46 M3 green tag rack enjoys a 3.2 lock-to-lock turning radius) and a larger inner torsion rod lending to a heavier steering feel.

This rack can be used in all E30, E36 and E46 applications.

Our racks are genuine BMW units and are fully reconditioned and rebuilt using OE-quality seals, rubber o-rings and teflon guide rings. We replace all three bearings with OE bearings from NTN, SKF and INA. Our racks come fully lubricated with Redline D4 ATF, SKF bearing grease, and Redline CV-2 grease for the steering rack teeth and pinion gear.

Note: If you would like to receive your steering rack without Redline CV-2 grease, please indicate in your order notes. We will still use SKF bearing grease for all bearings and lubricate all o-rings and seals with Redline D4 ATF.

These steering racks do not include inner tie rods nor tie rod boots; however, they will require E46 inner tie rods to operate properly. If you would like to purchase inner tie rods and boots for a more "plug-and-play" option prior to shipment, we will torque and install OE Lemforder tie rods and Febi Bilstein boots.

We offer a 12-month warranty on leaks resulting from normal operation. We reserve the right to refuse a warranty claim on a rack that has been abused through excessive track use or that has been damaged due to severe impact.
